MEET THE JILLS
Who We Are
Breastfeeding can be beautiful, challenging, rewarding, overwhelming—and sometimes all of those things at once.
We're two labor & delivery nurses, moms, and lactation professionals who believe parents deserve compassionate, evidence-based support throughout their feeding journey.
We created Rooted with Jill to bring the same encouragement and support we provide in the delivery room into your home—and beyond.

Hi, I’m Jill — a Labor & Delivery nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
With five years of nursing experience, I’ve had the privilege of supporting countless families through pregnancy, birth, and the early postpartum period. But my passion for lactation is also deeply personal.
I’m a mom of two under two, and I’ve had two very different breastfeeding experiences. My experience with my son was painful, disheartening, and, quite frankly, a disaster. I wasn’t given the tools or support I needed to feel successful, and I made plenty of mistakes along the way.
Now, while breastfeeding my daughter, I’m able to experience feeding in a completely different way — with comfort, confidence, and a much deeper understanding of breastfeeding and how to navigate the challenges that can come with it.
That experience is a huge part of why I became an IBCLC. I want to be the support for other women that I so desperately wish I had during those early days. Whether you’re preparing to breastfeed, struggling with something that doesn’t feel right, navigating pumping or bottle-feeding, or simply looking for reassurance, I want you to know that you don’t have to figure it out alone.
Most importantly, I believe there is no single “right” way to feed a baby. My goal is to listen to you, understand your unique experience, and provide the evidence-based education, practical tools, and compassionate support you need to feel confident in your feeding journey.

Hi, I’m Jill!
I’m a Registered Nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant with seven years of Labor & Delivery experience and a true passion for advocating for and supporting women.
My love for lactation began after having my first daughter, when I experienced the beauty and connection of breastfeeding firsthand. When breastfeeding my second daughter proved to be much more challenging, I gained a deeper understanding of how different every feeding journey can be.
That experience inspired me to become an IBCLC and support families through all the different ways feeding can look.
I'm down-to-earth, approachable, and here to provide a judgment-free space where you can ask questions, voice your concerns, and feel heard. Whether breastfeeding comes easily, feels overwhelming, or looks completely different than you imagined, I’m here to help you feel informed, supported, and confident in your journey. 🌿
