Frequently Asked Questions
-
We are currently a private-pay practice and do not bill insurance directly. We are happy to provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, so we recommend checking with your provider about your lactation benefits. We hope to accept insurance in the future!

You don't have to wait until you're struggling to reach out! Prenatal support can help you feel prepared before baby arrives, while early postpartum support can help you establish feeding with confidence. We're also here for concerns that come up along the way, including latch difficulties, nipple pain, milk supply concerns, pumping, bottle feeding, returning to work, or simply wanting reassurance that things are going well.
-
Absolutely not! Lactation support isn't just for when something is wrong. We love helping families prepare before baby arrives, build confidence in the early days, and navigate changes throughout their feeding journey. If you have questions or simply want reassurance, we're here for you.
-
We support you! Lactation care isn't limited to direct breastfeeding. We can help with pump selection, flange sizing, pumping schedules, milk supply, milk removal, comfort, storage, and creating a pumping plan that works for your lifestyle and goals.
-
That's completely okay. Our goal is to support your feeding goals without judgment. Whether you're exclusively breastfeeding, exclusively pumping, combination feeding, or using formula, we'll work with you to create a plan that supports both you and your baby.
-
Absolutely—and we encourage it! Your partner or support person is welcome to participate in your consultation. We'll share practical ways they can support you, your baby, and your feeding journey.
-
Every consultation is personalized to you and your baby. Depending on your needs, we may review your feeding history, observe a feeding, assess latch and positioning, perform a weighted feed, discuss pumping or bottle feeding, and address any concerns you have. Together, we'll create an individualized plan and make sure you leave feeling supported and confident.
-
You don't need to do anything special! Have your baby nearby and, if possible, bring your usual feeding and pumping supplies. If you're breastfeeding, we recommend feeding according to your baby's normal hunger cues rather than changing your routine before your appointment.
If you have a pump you'd like help with, have it nearby along with your usual flanges and accessories. Most importantly, come with your questions—we'll take it from there. 🤍
